Palestine Lodge #189’s annual celebration of Brother Robert Burns, Bard of Scotland and singer of praises to all things haggis is Saturday, January 25, 2025, beginning at 7pm!
We will honor Brother Burns with toasts, recitations of his more famous works in the traditional Burns Night style, plus feature Scotch and Whisky tastings.
🎉 What to Expect:
– 🍽️ A traditional Scottish fare buffet, featuring haggis, neeps, and tatties.
– 🥃 Scotch tasting —bring a bottle to share in the spirit of Masonic fellowship (not required).
– 🎤 Poetry recitations, including the iconic “Address to the Haggis”, and tributes to Burns’ Masonic influence.
– 🍇 A special toast with “Master’s Choice” Scotch, provided by the Lodge.
As Masons, we share in Burns’ legacy of fraternity, charity, and poetic brilliance. His Masonic journey began in 1781 at St. David’s Lodge No. 174, where his ideals of equality and brotherhood deeply resonated with his Craft.
